Christopher Lee does rule! He was excellent in "Horror of Dracula," "The Satanic Rites of Dracula," "The Wicker Man" and the countless other things he has been in. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen a film with him in it that I didn't like. What a wonderful article, Bloofer Lady!

Excellent article. One thing it does is highlight the difference between social classes in the Victorian society. Upper classes had none of these problems as they had the money and means to live in luxury where the working classes were made to suffer. The factory owners of the Industrial revolution treated the working classes as slaves in situations we'd call sweat shops now. Even when the upper classes tried to help and came up with work houses to help the "needy" they messed it up and made living hell for the so called working class.

At least to an extent we don't live in that world anymore (although you can argue that the "west" now treat some countries as their working classes).

That's sad when books are butchered like that. That's good that another version is going to come out then, because I would love to see the characters more developed.

I felt the book as published left out a lot. Straub is publishing his original story (around another 200 pages); it's the one he intended. A Dark Matter is more an editor driven book rather than an author's book. I'm looking forward to reading Straub's original vision.

Stunning virtuosity in writing shown, but like you said, substance is lacking.

Fallout 3 in my opinion is the best game ever made, well until the fall when Fallout New Vegas comes out, there is also a game called Metro 2033 that has a real Fallout feel to it but from a Russian perspective it's due out in March

Yeah, what he did was a little off putting but I think that he thought that he wouldn't get any interviews if they knew.
